FAQ's

- For U.S. and Canadian Citizens, you must have a passport that is valid 6 months beyond your day of departure from Ecuador. There is no tourist required for stays less than 90 days. - Travel insurance is required when visiting the Galapagos Islands. It is a condition of traveling with SA Expeditions that you have suitable travel insurance to safeguard against unexpected expenses related to trip cancelation or trip interruptions. See Terms & Conditions for more information. - Visitors to the Galapagos Islands must pay a national park entrance fee, which is currently $100 per person ($50 for those <11 years old). This can either be included in your package or paid upon arrival at the airport. - Upon arrival to the Galapagos, all travelers will be required to have a Transit Control Card (or Ingala Card), which will be included in your package and given to you in-person prior to your flight to the islands. - There are no specific vaccinations required to enter Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. However, the CDC recommends being up to date on routine vaccinations such as measles, mumps, rubella, and influenza. - There is no longer any COVID-19 vaccination nor test requirement to enter Ecuador or the Galapagos Islands. While COVID-related requirements are quickly evolving, all travelers will receive a pre-travel document with the most up to date information, as well as important details needed to prepare for a memorable and smooth journey.

While you may be able to transit from one island to another by small plane, keep in mind most islands are only accessible by speedboat or ferry. For motion and sea sickness, we suggest you consult your doctor to see what medication is best to prevent any nausea, dizziness, or other common symptoms.
